Eye surgeon Stodůlka gave a lecture to his Australian colleagues
The founder of the Gemini Eye Clinic network, Pavel Stodůlka, gave a lecture online for colleagues from Australia on Sunday, October 30, 2022. The lecture was enriched with a practical demonstration of the implantation of an intraocular lens with an extended focus. The world-renowned surgeon of Czech origin was the first in the world to implant it.
As the first eye surgeon in the world, Pavel Stodůlka implanted the LuxSmart lens. This is a premium intraocular lens with extended focus from Bausch and Lomb. It provides high-quality vision at long and medium distances, and it only started being used in Australia in August this year. Australian ophthalmologists welcomed Dr. Stodůlka sharing his practical experience with the implantation of these lenses.
