Dr. Pavel Stodůlka awarded at an international congress in India
Dr. Stodůlka became a special guest lecturing at a prestigious international ophthalmological conference in Mumbai, India. At this Eye Advance 2016 conference, he was awarded a prize for outstanding services in ophthalmology.
The congress, organized by the Indian Academy of Ophthalmology, was attended by a number of recognized ophthalmologists from all over the world (eg. Roberto Bellucci from Italy). The Awarding Ceremony, during which Dr. Stodůlka received the award, was also visited by the Czech ambassador in India Milan Hovorka.
Dr. Stodůlka, who belongs to the top ophthalmologists, highly appreciates the award. He repeatedly proved that he is one of the world-acknowledged authorities and that the ophthalmic care at Gemini clinics is obviously at a very high level. Dr. Stodůlka has performed a wide range of surgeries as the first surgeon in the Czech Republic, Europe, or in the world, such as the first LASIK laser surgery in the Czech Republic in 1995, the first laser cataract surgery with the use of the VICTUS femtosecond laser platform in Europe, the implantation of an artificial cornea of the Boston-type, or the world`s first implantation of a new phakic lens in 2014.
