The XXXth Annual Congress of the Czech Ophthalmological Society was held on 8th to 10th September in Brno. The eye surgeon and founder of the Gemini Eye Clinic was one of the leading speakers. He spoke several times on different topics.
As in previous years, the three-day CSO Annual Congress included a number of innovative lectures for ophthalmologists. The main topics this year were corneal diseases and surgery, outpatient ophthalmology issues, and conservative and surgical treatment of retinal diseases. The head of the Gemini Eye Clinic in Zlin gave a total of 3 lectures. He also sat in the chair of the discussion panel of the section dealing with cataract surgical techniques.
The Czech Ophthalmological Society (COS) is primarily educational. It organises educational ophthalmic congresses and seminars. Its activities help to improve the quality of Czech ophthalmology.
