American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) appraised Dr. Stodůlka`s scientific videos when they branded them as remarkable and resend the videos to be observed by all their members all around the world.
Dr. Stodůlka became a special guest lecturing at a prestigious international ophthalmological conference in Mumbai, India. At this Eye Advance 2016 conference, he was awarded a prize for outstanding services in ophthalmology.
On February 26th–28th, the 2016 ESCRS conference (European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons) took place in Athens, Greece. Among the presenters was also dr. Stodůlka who contributed to the Conference with his lecture.
Dr. Stodůlka not only attended the American Academy of Ophthalmology annual congress as a speaker in November 2015, but he also made it to the start of the 5km charity run with his son Jiri.
Dr. Stodůlka gave lectures at the XXXIII Congress of the European Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) in Barcelona.
An article summarizing the experience with a trifocal lens was published in Cataract & Refractive Surgery Today Europe (January 2015).
In June 2014, the Cataract & Refractive Surgery Today Europe journal published a research paper by Dr. Stodůlka, Head eye surgeon, summarizing the previous experience in cataract surgery using the VICTUS laser.
Dr. Stodůlka received an invitation of the head surgeon of the Eye Clinic of the Cambridge University Hospital to lecture at one of the world most prestigious universities on the topic of modern laser surgeries - their state of development and related economics.
Dr. Stodůlka was awarded for the best paper presented at the ASCRS meeting in Boston, USA. In his paper dr. Stodůlka spoke about a Czehc project of a special intraocular lense, a sc. WIOL.
On Wednesday 23rd April 2014, dr. Stodůlka performed the first and brand new procedure for correction of eye errors with a sc. selective crosslinking method.
During the procedure with this method the cornea becomes reshaped as well as strengthened with a new device called KXL II system (Avedro, USA). The method is unique in its capability to reshape as well as strengthen the cornea in only one step. The method is suitable for corrections of lower eye errors, but its main benefit demonstrates mainly in more complicated eye error corrections such as in structural deformation of the cornea called keratoconus.
